Christians Flesh Takes You To Hell
Dear friend, do not let your flesh dictate to you the way that you should live your life and the actions that you must take, because if you do that you will allow the flesh to take you off to the fires of hell. Because the flesh to only wants to fulfill its own desires and is not interested in obeying and following Jesus. We are in a war against the flesh, against the ways of the devil inside of us, and daily we must crucify the flesh and put it out and reckoning it dead daily and instead follow Jesus Christ by the spirit. Many they don’t crucify the flesh they follow their desires. That is why they get themselves into so many troubles and pierce themselves with so many griefs. It’s because friends,.
When we follow the flesh, it will lead us to the paths of destruction. You desires are rotten and they are filled with worms. There is nothing righteous inside of you and so you must turn away from the flesh and what it desires you to do, and what it tempts you to do, because if we follow it friends we will not inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t listen to those false believers who will tell you that you can still enter the kingdom of God even though you struggle with your flesh, because if you keep following the flesh it is written so very clearly in the Bible that; if you follow the flesh you will reap destruction. We must put out our evil desires daily. We must turn away from them and put Jesus in.
Our lives first and foremost, because if we do not dear friend, we will not inherit the kingdom of God. When we follow Jesus he expects you to deny yourself and follow him. He doesn’t expect you to follow your flesh and follow him, because you cannot follow the flesh and follow Jesus at the same time. And we know what the works of the flesh are, it is written what the works of the flesh are; dissension, jealousy, righteousness, envy, malice, gossip, all manner of things, hate, lust, the desires of the eyes, the pursuits of the flesh. If you’re a Christian and you do these things you will not inherit the kingdom of God, unless you divorce those things and crucify them daily pick up your cross and follow Jesus.
Christ. There is no other way to the kingdom of heaven but to deny yourself and follow Jesus. You see when I first came to the Lord Jesus I had to repent of my flesh, I had to repent of pursuing my own pursuits. I had to repent of my lusts. I had to stop the way I was talking. I had to turn around and come a new way, I had to deny the flesh and I did it willingly because I want to be found pleasing to the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you want to be found pleasing to him dear friend? Or will you just go on, following your desires, living your lusts, not watching your speech, falling daily to the flesh, because if you do that one day you’ll never get up again. There is only this life to work it out. We better be.
Working in out now, because one day it is going to be too late. Don’t follow the flesh any longer, deny it, pick up your cross, put on Christ, put on the armor of the spirit, the helmet of salvation, hope, faith, the word, reading the Bible, having the truth in your heart, having a relationship with Jesus listening to his voice. Arm yourself with these things and you go and put your eyes on the Kingdom of God, you put your eyes on the eternal life daily, and you will not fall to the flesh. You will not swap imperishable with perishable any longer. But when you got your eyes on the flesh and you haven’t got your eyes on eternal life, your heart isn’t on the prize, and where our hearts are that’s.
Where we’re going end up. If your heart is on the world, on your lusts in your sins following the flesh, you’ll end up destruction. But if you put your heart on the kingdom of God, meditating on his word focusing on him daily, pursuing eternal life because you want it in his name, then you would deny yourself, pick up your cross and you would follow Jesus, because that’s where your heart is. You cannot put out the flesh if your heart isn’t on the Kingdom of God. You cannot endure if you’re not walking with Jesus and abiding in him. Where is your heart today? Where do you choose to place it? On perishable things? Or on the imperishable in heaven! People they want to put their heart on adultery and would rather.
Go and sleep with that man and woman over there, because it’s so tempting to the flesh. Or they would go rather go and commit this crime or whatever it is against God, because it’s so tempting and that’s where their heart ultimately is set. But those who deny all that, and say no I’ve got something better I got the kingdom of God, I am not going to go and look in lust at that person, I am not going to go and commit adultery with that person, I am not going to watch this pornography, I am not going to do this, I am not going to do that, why? Because my mind is not on the flesh no more but on the kingdom of God! Where is your mind today? Is it with Jesus? Or is it on the world with your flesh and.
Put on the Whole Armor of God Baptist Preaching independent fundamental KJV
A part of the chapter that I want to focus on is the famous part dealing with the whole armor of God beginning at verse number 10 where the bible reads, “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.â€ The first thing I want to point out about that is that it’s not going to be possible for you to stand against the wiles of the devil if you don’t put on the whole armor of God. He says right there, “Put on the whole armor that ye may be able to stand against the wiles.â€ Meaning, that if you don’t put on the whole armor, you’re not going to be able.
Now, you’ve probably heard the saying that a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. If you’re going to battle with an enemy and you’re missing a certain piece of armor, whether it’s the helmet, whether it’s the breastplate, that’s exactly where the enemy is going to strike, at that weak point, and so to think that you can have most of the armor and that you’re going to be okay is folly. We have to have the whole armor of God to be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. Now, he says in verse 12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.â€.
Now, flip over to Second Corinthians 10. We’re going to be coming back to Ephesians 6. Just a few pages to the left in Second Corinthians 10. I want to point out the fact that it’s not a physical battle that we’re engaging, and it’s a spiritual battle. The nature of this spiritual battle is laid out in Second Corinthians 10 verse 3. “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh.â€ We’re not fighting physically. He says, “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal,â€ meaning fleshly, “But mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds, casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every.
Thought to the obedience of Christ, and having a readiness to revenge all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.â€ Notice the words used in verse 5. We have the word “imaginations.â€ Then, we have the word “knowledge,â€ and then we have the word “thought.â€ Those all have to do with the mind. Those all have to do with thoughts and intents of the heart. The bible says that God’s word, the weapon of our warfare is for pulling down strongholds. What are these strongholds? Deeply rooted imaginations, deeply rooted ideas that are contrary to God’s word, thoughts that are against God’s word. The bible says that our battle is a spiritual battle of thoughts, of ideas, of the truth.
Versus lies, of a clean mind and a filthy mind. Now, another thing that’s emphasized in Ephesians 6:12 is darkness because not only does he say that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities and against powers. He says, “Against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.â€ Now, flip over to Romans 13. Here’s another scripture that covers the armor a little bit. Romans 13 verse 12. While you’re turning there, let me read for you from First Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 7. The bible reads, “For they that sleep, sleep in the night, and they that be.
Drunken are drunken in the night, but let us who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.â€ Here’s another scripture talking about putting on the armor, the helmet of salvation, faith and love as a breastplate, and he says that it is the … we are of the day that we put on this armor to do battle with the forces of night, which will be darkness. Now, look at Romans 13 verse 12. It says, “The night is far spent; the day is at hand. Let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.â€ When the bible is talking about putting on the whole armor of God, he’s talking about the.
Armor of light, and the enemy is darkness. Okay? Now, if you would go to Ephesians chapter 5. Now, darkness represents several things in the bible. Obviously, darkness represents ignorance because if we’re in a dark room, we’re not aware of our surroundings. We don’t know what’s there. When the light turns on, we can actually see what’s going on and have knowledge. The bible talks about those that are awake and those that are asleep in First Thessalonians 5, and then in the next breath, he talks about those of that are of the day and those that are of the night. Those who know what’s going on, those who don’t know what’s going on. There’s an enemy today that wants.
